What is the difference between Venetian Plaster and Microcement?
While both provide stunning, seamless finishes, they are formulated differently and serve different purposes. Venetian plaster is a traditional blend of lime and marble dust, designed to be breathable, highly decorative, and perfect for feature walls, ceilings, and dry living spaces. Microcement is a modern polymer-and-cement blend that, when sealed, becomes 100% waterproof and incredibly strong—making it the ideal choice for wet rooms, bathrooms, floors, and countertops.
I am in the process of refurbishing but don't know what finish would be best for my home?
Simply fill out the contact form below and we will contact you where we can discuss over the phone or book a design consultation in your home.
How long does an installation usually take?
Because our finishes are applied by hand in multiple layers, they require meticulous attention to detail and specific curing times between coats.
Some finishes can be completed in as little as a day for a quick transformation of a feature wall or media wall. A textured Marmorino feature wall may take 2 to 3 days from priming to final sealing, while a full microcement bathroom can take 5 to 7 days. We will provide a precise timeline during your consultation.
We have just redecorated, is the process messy?
We pride ourselves in our clean work practices - all edges are masked and surfaces protected before we begin any work.
What areas of the UK do you cover?
We are based in Lytham St.Annes and generally service the North West, however please feel free to contact with your query if you are outside this area and we will happily discuss options with you over the phone.
Do you provide samples before the work begins?
Absolutely. We don't expect you to make a final decision based on a digital photograph. Once a project is agreed in principle, we create bespoke physical sample boards using your chosen finish, texture, and custom color tint. This ensures the final result exactly matches your vision and lighting.
